The Voices of Rysar was began by Amanda Woods, Rudy Coleman, Frank Meill, and Debbie Lowe.  The Voices of Rysar is made up of people ages 17 and up.  The group is committed to singing God's praises while lifting up their voices.

The group was formed in 1980.  it began with 15 members from area churches.  The group grew steadily over the years. At first, the group was for people ages 19 years and older.  In 1990, Debbie Lowe requested that the age requirement be changed to 17 and older because her son, John wanted to join the group and he was only 17. it took a year for the requirement to be changed. Once the age requirement was changed, the group's membership increased by over 40%.

The Voices of Rysar's membership is currently 125 members which includes a 25 member band.

The Voices of Rysar have been featured on all of Ike Jenkins' CDs. As a result of singing with Ike Jenkins, the Voices of Rysar signed with Baumann Records in 1996. they have released several CDs on Baumann Records.
