The Crowley Temple Mass Choir is the choir of the Crowley Temple Church. The choir began to grow and flourish in 1975 when Rev. Daniel B. Tolliver became the choir president. The choir was often featured at area musicals. In 1982, the pastor's son, Min. Davis Brushard, a very talented and gifted musician, was appointed as the minister of music and as the choir's main musician. In 1983, Rev. Tolliver asked the pastor if the choir could record an album. The pastor gave his permission. The had a hard time finding a record label because the church as small. No one wanted to take a chance on the choir. Rev. Tolliver started his own record company with the help of the church, choir, and two area businessmen. In November 1984, the Crowley Temple Mass Choir released its first album on Baumann Records. Norman Hall, a young, hot songwriter/producer produced the album. Norman, Rev. Tolliver, and Min. Brushard wrote all of the songs for the album. The album did very well. The choir has released two other albums on the Baumann label.
